The tanker vessel Doña Ana, registered under the flag of Chile and linked to Humboldt Shipmanagement, received recognition from the Chilean Safety Association (ACHS) for achieving 1,379 days without recording any accidents.

“We want to highlight and thank the outstanding performance of the Doña Ana Vessel team, which reached 1,379 days without accidents, marking an important milestone within our operation,” communicated Humboldt Shipmanagement.

“This result not only reflects technical standards, but a culture based on prevention, mutual care, and collaborative work. Every maneuver, every shift, and every operational decision contributed to this achievement,” they added.

The ship, launched in 2006 from the facilities of Rousse Shipyard West JSC, is 88 meters in length, 14.6 meters in beam, and has a deadweight tonnage of 3,543 tons.

Based on information from Humboldt Shipmanagement, the Doña Ana is one of the smallest vessels in its fleet. It was also highlighted that throughout the year, the vessel operates mainly between the central and southern zones of Chile, supplying fuel to different types of ships.

Over a 12-month period, the highest number of operations were recorded in the Port of Valparaíso, with 14 occasions, followed by San Antonio with 9 and Lirquén with 4. Operations were also carried out in the port facilities of Mejillones, Arica, Talcahuano, San Vicente and Quintero, as well as in the area of the Strait of Magellan, according to Maritime Intelligence.

In line with the above, it is worth recalling that the Austral Port Company (EPAustral) recognized the first operation of the Doña Ana at the José de los Santos Mardones Terminal as an “important milestone,” which took place between February 5 and 7, 2025.
