On November 26, it was learned from the Jiangxi Provincial Port Group: As of now, the annual cargo throughput of the Shashan Operation Area in the Xingzi Port Area of Jiujiang Port has exceeded the 10 million ton mark, becoming the first terminal within the group to surpass 10 million tons in cargo throughput.
Since the beginning of this year, the Shashan Operation Area terminal has focused on its core port operations, concentrating superior resources to deeply develop work in areas such as business expansion, technological transformation, and process optimization. It established professional teams to create customized logistics solutions for clients and optimized operational processes, increasing terminal loading and unloading efficiency by 30%. It innovatively implemented the “tidal operation method,” dynamically allocating resources based on the arrival times of ships and vehicles, which increased bulk cargo single-vessel operation efficiency by 5% and reduced port equipment idle time by over 10%. These efforts successfully attracted cooperation from more than 30 enterprises, providing a solid guarantee for the terminal’s cargo throughput to break through the 10 million ton mark.
The Shashan Operation Area terminal in the Xingzi Port Area of Jiujiang Port will seize the opportunity presented by the construction of the Jiujiang Regional Shipping Center, continue to deepen integrated development, and exert more effort in business expansion, technological innovation, and service upgrading to inject stronger port momentum into high-quality development.
