The Conti–Arcese joint venture strengthens its presence in the automotive sector with a strategic hub for vehicle distribution

Livorno – Xca, the joint venture between the Arcese and Conti groups, has finalized the acquisition of the business unit of Autotrade & Logistics dedicated to integrated logistics services for the automotive sector, thus consolidating one of the most significant operations for vehicle logistics in Italy. The purchase includes control of Il Faldo, the large compound in Collesalvetti (Livorno) intended for vehicle storage and preparation, which now becomes a strategic asset in the growth of the Jv.
With this move, Xca creates a logistics corridor connecting the Tuscan hub to the activities already established in the port of Vado Ligure, with the aim of building a complementary backbone capable of increasing the efficiency of the final distribution of vehicles. The first signs of the new operational setup are already tangible: in November, Xca successfully managed the landing and overland logistics of over 1,100 Dongfeng cars, one of the most representative brands of the wave of Chinese cars arriving on the European market.
The operation was supported by a detailed team of advisors. For the seller, Autotrade & Logistics, financial advisory was entrusted to Pirola Corporate Finance, while legal advisory to Legance. On the buyer’s side, Xca availed itself of the financial support of Vitale & Co and the legal consultancy of Gianni & Origoni. The financial due diligence was handled by PwC. The Chiomenti law firm assisted Illimity Bank for aspects related to financing.
With this acquisition, Xca strengthens its role in the automotive logistics chain, founded on an increasingly integrated network between ports, hinterlands, and value-added services.
