The Costa Rican Institute of Pacific Ports (Incop) reported that it has completed the installation of new aids to navigation in the access channel to Punta Morales, in order to maintain adequate conditions for the safe transit of vessels in the area.
The project included the placement of four signaling buoys, as well as lighting and reflectivity systems designed to improve maritime safety.
“It is reported that the installation of aids to navigation in the access channel to Punta Morales has been completed, in accordance with the established technical requirements to guarantee adequate maritime operating conditions. The installed equipment complies with applicable regulations and allows for the maintenance of safety in vessel traffic,” detailed Wagner Alberto Quesada Céspedes, executive president of Incop.
In line with what was reported by the entity, these elements make it possible to maintain the necessary standards for maritime operations and reduce risks associated with navigation.
The intervention had a cost of approximately USD 47,000, an amount allocated to the technical execution required for this type of maritime infrastructure.
