Havila Voyages showed a good operational performance in the third quarter of 2025, with a significant improvement with a positive figure of USD 28.3 million, well above the same period of the previous year (USD 12.8 million).

The company’s operational revenues (excluding contract revenues from the Norwegian Ministry of Transport) increased by 13% in the same comparison.

“We are observing a strong demand for travel along the Norwegian coast, we have more passengers on board and the average cabin price has also increased slightly. This is in line with our strategy and ambitions, and shows that we are beginning to consolidate ourselves in the markets after a complicated start for the company,” stated the CEO of Havila Voyages, Bent Martini.

The fleet occupancy in the quarter was 80%, compared to 78% in the same period of 2024, and the ships also had an operational uptime of 100%.

“We have implemented specific measures to, among other things, reduce the imbalance between the north and south routes, where we have experienced especially strong development. Being able to offer more flexibility to our passengers who wish to travel on our new and modern ships has had a very positive effect,” said Martini.

Across the entire Havila Voyages fleet, CO2 emissions were reduced by 38% compared to the baseline figures for the coastal route in 2017, when the route operated with diesel vessels.

“The requirement from the Norwegian authorities is a minimum reduction of 25% in CO2 emissions, and we have met it since the first day on the coastal route. We are proud of it, although we continue to aspire to reach an even greater goal. The recent voyage of the Havila Polaris with biogas is further proof that it is already possible to achieve great advances today,” recalled the executive.

Finally, the quarterly summary states that food waste on board the Havila Voyages ships was only 60 grams per night, well below the company’s goal of a maximum of 75 grams per night.
