The Ceará Export Processing Zone (ZPE Ceará) received the TCE Ceará Sustentable Seal. The award ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Tribunal de Cuentas do Estado (TCE-CE) and was attended by representatives of the institutions distinguished in the 2025 Edition.

This is the fifth consecutive year that the ZPE of Ceará has been recognized with the seal, which distinguishes members of society, jurisdicionados and civil servants who adhere to the TCE Ceará Sustainability Policy and invest in socio-environmental responsibility within their activities.

The seal was presented by the president of TCE-CE, Rholden Queiroz, to the Operations Director of ZPE Ceará, Michel Mourão, and to the Environment and Occupational Safety Manager, Ademar Filho.

The Ceará ZPE participates every year in the certification granted by the Tribunal. In this edition, those registered to compete for the seal had to select one of the items from the Sustainable Logistics Plan (PLS), prepared in accordance with the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The item chosen was “Conscious Consumption: Reduction in the consumption of materials such as paper, water and energy,” and the ZPE was recognized with the merit “Rational Use of Natural Resources and Public Goods – Electrical Energy.”

According to the Environment and Occupational Safety Manager, Ademar Filho, ZPE Ceará adopted more conscious actions aimed at energy efficiency, with the goal of reducing impacts and optimizing processes.

“The adoption of measures such as energy rationalization and socio-environmental initiatives demonstrates not only compliance with institutional standards, but also a future vision based on sustainability as a strategic axis,” stated Filho.

Ademar also highlighted that the fact of receiving the seal all these years proves the environmental maturity acquired by the Ceará ZPE over time.

“This seal strengthens the image of ZPE Ceará before society and the international market. We believe that development and environmental responsibility must go hand in hand,” concluded the manager.
