Another six ships have been trimmed from the fleet of Norway-based Solstad Offshore, meaning the company has now reached the end of its wide-ranging vessels clean-up.

The divested ships were delivered to their new owner Thursday, states the company in a press release.

All in all, 36 vessels have been sold off as part of the restructuring plan, which Solstad Offshore landed in October 2020. According to the company, the ship sale has led to a debt reduction of roughly NOK 900m (USD 102m).

Originally, the plan was for 37 vessels to be sold. But according to CEO Lars Peter Solstad, the last ship has been re-activated and is back in operation, he informs WPO.

After the major clean-up, Solstad Offshore’s fleet consists of 90 ships.
