On January 17th, the vessel “Puren” loaded with 2200 tons of soda ash departed from Berth 301 at the Xinlonggang Company terminal of Lianyungang Port, marking the official opening of the “Lianyungang Port – South Korea Pohang Port” shipping route.
In recent years, Lianyungang Port Xinlonggang Company has continuously advanced the integrated development strategy of “Port, Industry, and City,” actively explored the foreign trade market, set its sights on the broader international market, actively cooperated with domestic and international shipping companies and clients, gained an in-depth understanding of market demands, and meticulously planned route layouts. Through relentless efforts, the company’s foreign trade business has now successfully expanded to regions such as Southeast Asia and the Middle East. The newly opened route is a manifestation of Xinlonggang Company’s precise alignment with regional industrial needs, direct service to clients, and a deep embodiment of the “Port + Trade” model.
It is reported that the newly opened route also closely connects Lianyungang Port with South Korea’s Pohang Port, establishing a more convenient and efficient platform for trade between the two regions and injecting new momentum into the revitalization of the local economy.
