At 14:38 on May 7, “AIDA Mediterranean” smoothly entered Dock No. 2 of Zhoushan COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry, beginning a repair period of about 10 days.
“AIDA Mediterranean” has a total length of 293 meters, a beam of 32 meters, and a maximum passenger capacity of 2,680. It is operated by China’s independent cruise brand “AIDA Cruises” and is one of the brand’s main luxury cruise ships. The vessel integrates Mediterranean style and classical aesthetic design, earning the reputation of “Ship of Art” and “Floating Palace on the Sea.”
The main works for this dry-dock maintenance include: inspection and repair of key power equipment, hull exterior renovation, structural repair and reinforcement, etc., to comprehensively enhance the safety and durability of the vessel’s subsequent operations.
To ensure efficient project progress, Zhoushan COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry coordinated and allocated resources in advance, proactively liaised with port authorities and joint inspection units, and collaboratively optimized operational procedures. From docking scheduling to procedure handling, all links achieved seamless connection, fully demonstrating the company’s mature project organization capability and full-process service experience in the luxury cruise maintenance field.
