On May 7, the first 82,000-ton bulk carrier No. 65 built by CSSC Chengxi Shipyard Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, for W-Marine Company was successfully launched.
The ship was erected on the slipway on March 26, and the shell plate transfer was completed on April 27. Frequent rainfall occurred before and after the shell plate transfer. The project team adhered to lean management, made overall plans in advance, and orderly advanced the butt joint work. Ultimately, all work tasks were completed as planned, further improving the integrity of the launch.
On the same day, the reference sections of the 82,000-ton bulk carrier No. 66 and the 41,800-ton self-unloading ship No. 3 built by CSSC Chengxi Shipyard were erected on the slipway respectively.
