The German logistics company Rhenus Group has announced the completion of the acquisition of the remaining 49% stake in LBH Group. The shares were purchased from the Lagendijk family, bringing LBH entirely under Rhenus’s control. This move serves as a logical continuation of the strategic partnership initiated in 2023, when the two companies joined forces to strengthen their presence in the maritime and port logistics market.
LBH Group operates as an international port agency across 24 countries, handling vessel arrivals and departures involving bulk, liquid, containerized, and general cargo. Since the inception of their collaboration, the combination of LBH’s global port expertise and Rhenus’s international logistics network has enabled the expansion of their service portfolio, offering clients more sustainable and customized logistics solutions within their supply chains.
Despite the transition to full ownership, LBH will continue to operate under its well-recognized brand, maintaining its high standards of service and market standing. Rhenus emphasizes that this integration reinforces the Group’s maritime strategy and facilitates the further expansion of its international network, thereby establishing a more resilient infrastructure for global trade.
