Faroe Ship Agency reported that the 2026 cruise season has officially begun in the Faroe Islands. The Port of Torshavn welcomed the ship Ocean Explorer, the first tourist vessel of the season in the Danish enclave, followed by a visit to Funningur one day later.
The arrival also marked the first visit of that ship to the Faroe Islands, so the traditional plaque exchange was held to commemorate the occasion.
“Faroe Ship Agency is grateful to assist in another exciting cruise season and looks forward to welcoming many more vessels to the Faroe Islands in the coming months,” FSA communicated.
