On May 8, Shandong Fuerdun Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. held a grand keel-laying ceremony for the first vessel of the 10,000 cubic meter ocean-going refrigerated carrier “Hai Yu”. Fuerdun’s management team, representatives of the owner Tianjin Haiyu International Shipping Co., Ltd., representatives of the ship design unit, leaders and guests from Chengshantou Maritime Office of Weihai Maritime Safety Administration, and Weihai Inspection Office of China Classification Society attended the event, witnessing this milestone moment and officially kicking off the ship construction.
At the ceremony, Sun Zhenfa, General Manager of Shandong Fuerdun Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., delivered a welcome speech, expressing gratitude to all leaders, guests and partners present, and solemnly pledged to adhere to the principles of “quality first, safety paramount”, building a fine vessel that can withstand scrutiny with exquisite craftsmanship and rigorous management.
During the ceremony, General Manager Sun Zhenfa of Fuerdun and the owner’s representative jointly activated the ignition button, marking the official entry of “Hai Yu” into the construction phase.
The “Hai Yu” vessel commencing construction this time is a large professional refrigerated carrier with a volume of 10,000 cubic meters, and is also the first refrigerated carrier in China to fully comply with IACS UR E26 and UR E27 ship cybersecurity standards, filling the domestic gap in the construction of vessels meeting these international standards. Meanwhile, the vessel was designed using advanced 3D digital technology. Under the premise of adhering to international regulations and comprehensive safety standards, it achieves极致 utilization of cargo space through optimized compartment design, with transport efficiency reaching a leading domestic level.
In terms of power system design, “Hai Yu” is the first to be equipped with an 800KW shaft generator, which is directly driven by the main engine during navigation without the need to start auxiliary main generators. This design can reduce fuel consumption, improve operational economy, and also reduce the crew’s workload for operation and maintenance of power generation equipment, lowering labor intensity. At the same time, the shaft generator system is paired with a customized water-cooled frequency converter, offering excellent heat dissipation performance and operational stability, providing reliable assurance for the efficient and safe operation of the ship’s power system, solidifying the foundation for ocean voyages, and supporting the green and high-quality development of the shipping industry.
