On May 9, CSSC Guangxi, in cooperation with China Shipbuilding Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., signed the ship delivery documents with Italian company MANISA in Qinzhou. The 4th vessel “MANISA BELLE” and the 5th vessel “MANISA ARIEL” of the 9330DWT general cargo ship series were officially delivered. Li Hao, Deputy General Manager of CSSC Chengxi Company, Yang Haibo, Party Secretary and General Manager of CSSC Guangxi Company, Yang Jun, Deputy General Manager, and relevant shipowner representatives jointly attended the signing ceremony.

This marks the second “dual-ship delivery in a single day” within just 45 days, following the delivery of the second and third vessels of the same series on March 24, signifying a leapfrog improvement in the company’s shipbuilding capacity and contract performance capability.

Since the project commenced, the project team, based on fully absorbing experience from previous vessels, has continuously advanced process iteration and procedure optimization, constantly setting new records in construction efficiency and quality. During this period, the sea trial of the fourth vessel proceeded smoothly and orderly, with the performance indicators of key test items such as main engine load, SCR operation, and course stability meeting design standards. The fifth vessel achieved breakthroughs in multiple processes, driving process reengineering, advancing milestones, and accelerating critical tasks, comprehensively compressing the construction and sea trial cycles, forming a positive trend of accelerating speed and improving quality for each vessel.

The project team advanced the painting of the engine room for the fifth vessel to before the sea trial, completing grinding and painting in only 7 days, a reduction of over 10 days compared to the previous vessel. Concurrently, a themed activity “Achieving Excellence in Positions, Pioneering Flagship” was carried out, establishing Party member demonstration posts and Party member突击队 to expedite the schedule. The remaining 42 equipment mooring and commissioning inspection tasks after painting were efficiently completed in just 10 days. During the sea trial, a 24-hour shift duty mechanism was implemented, reducing the trial period by over 20 hours year-on-year, with all tests passed in a single attempt. Additionally, the watertightness test for the hatch covers of the fourth vessel significantly saved time compared to similar construction processes, and the construction quality passed the acceptance inspection by both the shipowner and classification society in one go, receiving high recognition.

The advantages of batch construction for the series of vessels continue to be released, with increasingly compact and smooth connections between various disciplines and processes, presenting a stable and progressive improvement. The delivery of this batch of vessels has solidified the foundation for CSSC Guangxi’s deepening development and strengthened the confidence and foundation for striving in the new journey of the “15th Five-Year Plan”. Next, CSSC Guangxi will anchor the main line of high-quality development, guided by intelligence, greenization, and integration, continuously refine shipbuilding processes, enhance construction efficiency, and strive to build a new marine ecological base in the Beibu Gulf, contributing to the construction of a maritime power.
