Helipad repair works

For approximately seven months from May 2026, repair works are being carried out at Yung Shue Wan Helipad.

The work is being conducted for the helipad will be carried out by a dumb lighter, with a tugboat and a work boat providing assistance. Vessels engaged in the works display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

The hours of work are from 0700 to 1900 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works will stay in the works area outside the hours of work.

There is a working area of approximately 20 metres around the lighter with yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the lighter.

Silt curtains will be established within the works area, with yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights to mark their extent.

Diving operations will be carried out from time to time during the hours of work. Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and keep clear of the works area at slow speed, bearing in mind that there are diving operations in the area.
