At the end of the campaign, the number of employees working in the hub at the Lingotto in Turin will rise to over 900.
Turin – MSC Technology Italia, the technology division of MSC Cargo that develops software solutions and IT infrastructures to support the company’s global logistics and maritime transport activities, announced today the launch of a plan for 200 new hires of professionals experienced in the Information Technology (IT) sector.
The recruiting campaign is part of the broader project to strengthen the Turin office, launched in 2020, which will bring the total number of employees working in the Lingotto hub in Turin to over 900. Following the expansion and renovation of the offices, completed last year, the facility now represents a true technological center of excellence at the European level: a total area of 11,000 square meters equipped with cutting-edge technologies for the development of software for integrated logistics and cybersecurity.
In detail, applications are open – including unsolicited ones – for profiles such as developers (software engineers and architects), testers, business intelligence specialists, and NOC (Network Operations Center) engineers, who will join the various teams and divisions active at the Turin office, contributing to the development, monitoring, and evolution of the technological platforms supporting the company’s activities.
The plan is aimed at experienced professionals, accustomed to working in structured environments and looking for a solid and stimulating environment in which to build a long-term growth path. The objective of the recruiting program, extended on a national scale, is to reach the widest possible pool of candidates, also thanks to a package of measures dedicated to geographic mobility for those coming from regions different from the work location.
The package includes concrete incentives, including a contribution to moving expenses, support in finding accommodation, and a professional development path with clear and structured career advancements. All measures are linked to a minimum commitment of 39 months: a strong signal that the company intends to send to the labor market and to interested professionals, focusing on lasting relationships and a context capable of enhancing personal growth and professional development over time.
“With this hiring plan, we want to further strengthen our technological hub in Turin, making it increasingly a European reference point for innovation in the IT sector applied to logistics,” declares Roberto Musumeci, CEO of MSC Technology Italia.
“Our goal is to build a center of excellence capable of attracting highly experienced professionals, who can contribute to the development of complex and highly structured systems, while at the same time supporting young talents. In this sense, collaboration with the best academic institutions in the area represents a strategic element to ensure a continuous exchange of skills and sustainable growth in the long term. We strongly believe in the value of integration between experience and new generations. It is from this balance that the ability to innovate in a solid and lasting way is born.”
Torino, with its educational and industrial ecosystem, is the ideal context to develop this model and consolidate the presence of Msc Cargo in Italy”.
In addition to the continuous search for new professionals in the sector, Msc Technology has long developed important collaborations with the main centers of excellence in the area, such as the Politecnico and the University of Turin. The goal is to create a dynamic mix of highly specialized and constantly trained personnel operating in the IT sector, capable of supporting the organizational and monitoring needs related to the network, management software, and cybersecurity of all companies belonging to Msc Cargo.
