MCE Marine Surveyors B.V. is recruiting a bunker surveyor for its Rotterdam operation following increased demand for its inspection activity.

The vacancy centres on quantitative checks of marine fuels on board ships through bunker quantity surveys. The successful applicant will carry out on-site measurements, calculate delivered fuel volumes, and follow the full process in accordance with MCE guidelines.

The Dutch firm is looking for someone with at least an MBO or HBO qualification, preferably from a maritime or transport college. A Surveyor Liquid Bulk certificate would be an advantage.

Previous bunker survey experience is preferred, although recent work in the maritime or transport sector, or a background in quality inspections, will also be considered.

Applicants need strong numeracy, knowledge of Microsoft Office, and fluency in Dutch and English. A category B driving licence is required, along with a willingness to travel internationally.

The job will involve weekend and out-of-hours work due to the nature of marine fuel inspections.

MCE is offering a full-time, fixed-term contract with a company car, laptop, mobile phone, expense reimbursements, holiday pay and 25 days of annual leave.
