The inauguration ceremony of the renovated Club of the Hellenic Navy General Staff (HNGS), which is a donation of the “Athina I. Martinou” Foundation, took place yesterday, Wednesday, May 13.
As announced, the HNGS Club was completely reconstructed, both in terms of its spaces and its equipment, now acquiring a modern, functional and high-aesthetic form.
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Thanasis Davakis, members of Parliament, the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Dimitrios Choupis, the Chief of the HNGS, Vice Admiral Dimitrios-Eleftherios Kataras HN, representatives of the Chiefs of the General Staffs, retired Rear Admiral Mr. Panos Laskaridis, the President of the Managing Committee of the “Athina I. Martinou” Foundation, retired Captain Ms. Ioanna Martinou, honorary Chiefs of the HNGS, members of the Supreme Naval Council, as well as members of the family of Ms. Ioanna Martinou and other guests.
