MSC Poesia arrived at the Port of Ketchikan as part of MSC Cruises’ inaugural season in Alaska. To commemorate this milestone, elected officials, port representatives, community leaders, and executives from the cruise line participated in a traditional plaque exchange ceremony aboard, celebrating the growing collaboration between MSC and the local community.

MSC Poesia now offers seven-night itineraries from the Port of Seattle to Alaska through September 2026, with calls in Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, and Juneau, as well as Victoria, Canada.

Lynn Torrent, President of MSC Cruises North America, stated that “the launch of our first cruises to Alaska marks a significant milestone in our continued expansion of MSC Cruises’ presence in North America and in introducing our guests to some of the most extraordinary destinations in the region.”

“Ketchikan offers passengers the opportunity to experience firsthand the incredible natural beauty, rich culture, and strong local heritage of Alaska. We are proud to collaborate with elected officials, port representatives, and community leaders to continue building meaningful relationships that support the local community while also helping our guests connect more deeply with the destination through immersive shore experiences,” added Torrent.
