On May 10, the main structure of Warehouse No. 6, part of the supporting warehouse project for Berths South 4 and South 5 at Beihai Port Tieshan Port Area, was topped out.

The project is undertaken by China State Construction Harbour and Waterway Engineering Bureau, primarily constructing four supporting warehouses at the terminal, including No. 4 and No. 5 mechanized bungalow warehouses (for fertilizer), No. 6 metal ore warehouse, and No. 7 solid chemical warehouse.

To address the construction challenge of a 203-meter ultra-long concrete shear wall, the project team conducted technical research, improving the acceptance rate of one-time forming from 90% to 96.9%, effectively reducing rework and repairs, and enhancing construction efficiency and quality.

Currently, the topping out of Warehouses No. 6 and No. 7 has been completed, and construction of Warehouses No. 4 and No. 5 is being vigorously advanced. Upon completion, the project will help Beihai Terminal better leverage the agglomeration advantages of port resources and port-side industries, alleviate cargo storage pressure at Beihai Terminal, further promote the coordinated development of port, logistics, and port-side industries, and support the economic development of the port operation area and surrounding regions.
