Transportadora Callao, operator of the Mineral Concentrate Loading Terminal of the Port of Callao, reached the service of its 2,000th vessel in May 2026. The information was confirmed by the National Port Authority of Peru, which highlighted that this was a milestone achieved since the start of its operations up to that month.

“This result consolidates more than a decade of specialized operations, contributing to the country’s port development,” the entity stated.

“This important achievement is the result of the commitment, planning, and operational efficiency of the port terminal, which daily contributes to maintaining safe, continuous, and high-performance operations,” added the APN.

“Having, since 2011, the year of the concession, a specialized terminal for the handling of mineral concentrates, equipped with a modern tubular conveyor belt with its automated ship loader (Shiploader) and technology that meets demanding environmental standards, allows for safer, more efficient, and sustainable operations, reducing impacts on the environment and contributing to the well-being of the citizenry,” complemented the APN.

Transportadora Callao, it should be recalled, is in the midst of formulating its addendum to guarantee the operational continuity of its concession contract.

The proposed investments, currently under evaluation, amount to USD 189.9 million and aim to contribute to ensuring continuous service, strengthening safety, and optimizing system efficiency, for the benefit of users and the foreign trade logistics chain.
