The boards of the Port Authority of the ports of Paranaguá and Antonina (Brazil) announced their new presidents. They are Edigar Júnio da Silva, who will assume the position as chairman, and Antonio Bruna, who will serve as deputy.
According to reports, the appointment was made during the last Ordinary Meeting of the Port Board.
Furthermore, on the Paraná Government website, details were provided about Júnio da Silva’s career, where it was reported that “he is a permanent civil servant of the National Secretariat of Ports, a federal government agency, where he began working in 2014. Currently, he works in the Department of Port Management and Modernization, within the General Coordination of Port Governance, as coordinator of Brazil’s organized public ports. Throughout his professional career, he has chaired port authority boards in other ports in the country, such as Porto Velho and Angra dos Reis.”
Regarding the appointment, the Director General of Portos de Paraná, Luiz Fernando García, stated that “I hope that his time working with the ports of Paraná is marked by a great exchange of experiences.”
In relation to Antonia Bruna, it was communicated that “she holds the position of infrastructure analyst at the National Secretariat of Ports and expressed that she feels honored to be part of the Board,” the publication concluded.
