Visentini Giovanni Trasporti Fluviomarittimi announces the imminent fleet entry of the new unit V Cinque, a bulk carrier currently being completed at the Chinese shipyard Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry, with delivery expected by the end of next September. “This new acquisition represents a fundamental milestone for the company, confirming the constant commitment to tonnage renewal with a view to efficiency, innovation and environmental sustainability,” the Visentini family shipping company stated.

“V Cinque is a state-of-the-art Handymax bulk carrier, developed on the prestigious and innovative latest-generation Bestway design. This unit represents the perfect synthesis of engineering efforts aimed at improving operational flexibility: the optimized design of the hull and cargo spaces guarantees extraordinary carrying capacity, positioning the ship at the top of its category for versatility and performance in maritime transport,” the communication continues. It further adds: “The excellent specifications of this new design are the direct result of the company’s consolidated experience in shipbuilding at top-tier Chinese shipyards. Today, Visentini Giovanni Trasporti Fluviomarittimi is an active part and protagonist of the most important technological developments in the maritime sector. The company does not limit itself to acquiring new tonnage, but works closely with Asian builders to study and create custom naval designs and targeted implementations to maximize the overall efficiency of the ships and their commercial capacity.

The technical characteristics of the new ship V Cinque are part of a precise industrial plan aimed at reducing the environmental impact of operations. The company is resolutely pursuing its “green” objectives, investing in modern assets capable of ensuring optimized fuel consumption and a drastic reduction in emissions. The company states that, “even in a complex macroeconomic and geopolitical context, the ecological transition is considered not an option, but an absolute necessity and an added value for the future of international shipping”.

Despite current global challenges, the fundamentals of the reference maritime sector are confirmed to be extremely solid. According to Alessandro Visentini, “the Handymax market continues to record sustained freight rates and ship price valuations remain at high levels. This structural stability confirms the validity of the strategic choices made so far and provides the financial and operational bases to look to the future with absolute confidence”.

After concentrating significant investments in the dry bulk sector, “the company’s strategic intention today is to continue its diversification path, consolidating its presence in the ro-ro (/roll-off) ship sector and units dedicated to special cargoes. This is not a new segment for Visentini Giovanni Trasporti Fluviomarittimi but a historic market in which the company already boasts deep expertise. The objective is to capitalize on this experience by studying new commercial opportunities and developing cutting-edge naval projects, to offer increasingly specialized logistics solutions”.
