On June 22, Haixi Heavy Industry and Qingdao Marine Comprehensive Test Field Co., Ltd. carried out the keel laying ceremony and joint construction activity of the “Guanhai 001” offshore self-elevating comprehensive test platform with the theme “Party Building Leads to Gather Strength, Jointly Tackle Difficulties to Promote Development”. Witnessed by relevant persons in charge from the Maritime Safety Administration and CCS, the two parties signed the “Confirmation Letter of Important Dates for Ship Construction”, marking the project’s official transition from block construction to the platform assembly and outfitting stage.
“Guanhai 001” is a four-leg self-elevating offshore comprehensive test platform, 60 meters long and 40 meters wide, equipped with two moon pools. Upon completion, the platform will be used for test environment construction and observation, marine unmanned intelligent equipment testing and subsystem testing, measurement and calibration, and marine new material testing and experimentation.
During the project construction process, facing numerous challenges, the project team adopted a “Party Building + Project” management model, embedding Party building work into the entire process of platform design, construction, and equipment provisioning. Relying on the Party building co-construction working mechanism, the Party organizations of both sides fully exerted their role as battle fortresses, rationally organized personnel and material allocation, scientifically coordinated and collaboratively tackled difficulties in steel structure fabrication, pre-outfitting, and painting, smoothly advancing the project milestones.
In the next step, the construction team will advance the subsequent work with higher standards and stricter requirements, ensuring that “Guanhai 001” is built into a high-quality project with leading overall performance and excellent comprehensive quality, providing solid support for deep-sea entry, deep-sea exploration, and deep-sea development, and injecting strong momentum into accelerating the building of a maritime power and promoting the high-quality development of China’s ship and marine industry.
