Chinese wind turbine manufacturer MingYang Smart Energy has agreed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Unison Co Ltd in South Korea
Under the terms of the MoU, the companies have formed an alliance to jointly pursue opportunities to develop and optimise market-specific wind turbines for bottom-fixed and floating applications in South Korea.
Together, they will also promote local supply chain integration opportunities and explore project resources in South Korea and globally.
MingYang Smart Energy president and chief technology officer Qiying Zhang said, “MingYang and Unison place great value on technology R&D.
“We believe that MingYang’s experience in offshore wind and floating technologies, combined with Unison’s expertise, global business competence and influence, will result in synergies. We look forward to working together with Unison and achieving great results.”
