The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company – ADNOC will be carrying out well testing activities from May 2022 until the end of June 2022 in the platform and excavation (002-XF) in the offshore area south of Dalma Island.
The test site is located 12 km south of Dalma Island.
It is expected that there will be intermittent burning (Flaring) for a period ranging between 7-10 days approximately: with the first ignition period occurring in May and the second in June.
Although Flaring may be visible from a distance in clear weather, there will be no environmental impact.
For safety reasons, there will be a 500-meter exclusion zone around the drilling rig (rig) where navigation will not be permitted.
Supply vessels will continue to operate from the port to support well testing activities. All waterway users and marine operators are required to take all necessary precautions and instruct their Masters to be vigilant and stay well clear from the area of operations.
