AVON, OHIO headquartered manufacturer Advanced Polymer Coatings continues to grow its global network of expertise with the appointment of Veron Teoh as Head of Asia Pacific Commercial.

In her new role Veron will focus on business development and growth strategy in the APAC region, working with ship owners, charterers and shipyards.

Veron will focus on promoting APC’s high-performance MarineLINE tank coating system for chemical and product tankers. Her appointment to APC’s Singapore team strengthens the company’s global network with established offices in Athens, London, Istanbul and Shanghai.

A native Singaporean, Veron brings a wealth of experience in the coatings sector and the wider maritime industry to her new role.

She joins APC from leading digital maritime platform RightShip, where she was Business Development Manager.

Captain Onur Yildirim, APC Global Marine Manager said: “We’re delighted to welcome Veron to our growing global team. She combines deep technical expertise with great knowledge of our industry and a strong track record in building relationships, qualities that are central to the way we work.”

“We’re looking forward to look forward to seeing her growing contribution to our continued business development in the APAC region.”

Veron, who has a Masters Degree in General Business Administration and Management from Macquarie University, said: “I was attracted to the role by APC’s great ambition and the scope it has to further grow its presence in the region.

“The company is a global leader in developing specialty coatings, and MarineLINE is a proven product with a strong reputation in the market.

“APC’s commitment to customer care is another of its strengths, working closely with them to support all the requirements that they have. It is an ongoing process to deliver the very best.

“I’m looking forward to applying my industry knowledge of the industry to strengthen existing relationships and build new ones. There are exciting times for the business, and this is a great opportunity to contribute to APC’s continued growth journey.”

APC commands around 12 per cent of the global chemical and product tanker market with more than 700 ships coated with MarineLINE.

2024 was the best year in the company’s history as it grew by 18 per cent. 2025, meanwhile, is set to break new records for APC as it has struck a number of major new build and recoating deals with some of the world’s biggest tanker operators.

Its expanding list of clients includes Hafnia, Union Maritime, Bahri, Stena Bulk, Odfjell, Champion Tankers, Westfal Larsen, and Gulf Nav.

To cater to the growing demand for MarineLINE, APC is doubling the size of its US factory in Avon with a multi-million dollar, eight figure expansion project. It represents APC’s biggest investment in its 28-year history.

The business is also expanding its R&D facilities with an expanded laboratory and testing facilities part of that expansion programme.
