A sailboat, flying the flag of New Zealand, ran aground in the marine area of Kanapitsa, south of Skiathos.
Five foreigners were on board, all in good health, and no injuries were reported from the incident. Northerly winds of force 5 Beaufort are blowing in the area.
A patrol boat of the Coast Guard rushed to the scene, while the assistance of a private vessel with a diver is expected to inspect and detach the sailboat.
