The Suez Canal Authority has issued Circular No. 07/2022 amending new surcharges for tiers of containers on weather deck on normal dues applied 1 May. The surcharge amendment will apply for transits starting from 1 August.
The surcharges will be amended as follows:
1 tier of containers on weather-deck
Surcharge on Suez Canal normal tolls up to transit of 30 July
– Southbound: 5%
– Northbound: 9%
Surcharge on Suez Canal normal tolls from transit of 1 August
– Southbound: 7%
– Northbound: 10%
2 tiers of containers on weather-deck

– Southbound: 8%
– Northbound: 14%
