The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) and the Baltic Ports Organization (BPO) signed a memorandum of strategic partnership aimed at developing cooperation, exchanging experience, and implementing joint initiatives in the port industry. The document was signed by USPA representative Vitaliy Vaidich and BPO Secretary General Bohdan Oldakovskyi during the Baltic Ports Conference in Gdansk.
The parties agreed to actively develop partnership projects in the areas of investment, logistics, energy efficiency, the implementation of green technologies, and digital solutions to optimize port processes. Particular attention will be paid to the creation of joint educational programs and internships for maritime industry specialists, as well as the exchange of experience in public-private partnerships and attracting investment in port infrastructure.
Cooperation with BPO will be an important step in integrating Ukrainian ports into the European logistics space, creating new opportunities for modernizing and rehabilitating infrastructure, developing sustainable supply chains, and raising environmental standards. The Baltic Sea Ports Organisation (BPO) brings together more than 50 ports in the region and plays a key role in promoting innovation and sustainable development in Europe’s maritime industry.
