DSV presents another record result, probably followed by an upward adjustment. Such is Sydbank’s expectation for DSV’s financial report next week.
Wednesday next week, freight forwarder DSV presents its financial result for the first quarter.
Mikkel Emil Jensen, who is senior analyst at Sydbank and monitors the freight market, including DSV, has a clear expectation regarding the numbers.
”We expect that DSV presents another record result driven by significant progress across the entire business, but once again, it will primarily be high yields in the sea and air division that will contribute to the solid earnings progress,” he writes in regards to the upcoming report.
Furthermore, Jensen points out that the transportation market has continued to be dominated by logistics chaos in the first quarter, ”to considerable benefit for DSV’s earnings.”
”An upward adjustment is quite likely, but a high degree of geopolitical uncertainty may postpone the adjustment to later this year,” says the analyst.
Before Wednesday’s quarterly report, DSV’s own expectation for the EBIT result for the whole 2022 is DKK 18-20bn (USD 2.6-2.9bn). In 2021, the figure landed at DKK 16.2bn.
Sydbank furthermore projects quarterly revenue at DSV of DKK 61.5bn and an EBIT of DKK 5.5bn.
