ANKAŞ Pilot boat rescued 3 survivors whose boat was adrift off YelkenkayaOn Saturday night, 03.09.2022, three people, who were on a boat that had a machine malfunction and drifted off the coast of Darıca, Yelkenkaya lighthouse, were rescued and landed by the pilot boat personnel of Anadolu Pilotage (ANKAŞ), the authorized pilotage agency of the Gulf of Izmit.There were no casualties in the rescue operation, in which the victims’ boats were also backed up.The rescue operation, which lasted for 40 minutes, started when the victims gave a phone call to the VTS Center. ANKAŞ Pilot Boat in the region was directed to the survivors by VTS.ANKAŞ Pilot Boat departed at 20.30. The boat was reached at 20.40, the survivors and their trains were taken to the pier at 21:00.
