Likewise, he placed special emphasis on how to continue advancing in strengthening the logistics chain, contributing to the competitiveness of the local offer as an integrating node between the Andean macro region and the Port of Arica.

Representatives from the public, private and academic sectors participated in the activity, in order to analyze -among other matters- the challenges represented by bioceanic corridors.

In this sense, the strategic role of the Port of Arica was highlighted as a key cross-border platform for the integration of northern Chile with Bolivia and Brazil, positioning itself as one of the most attractive alternatives as an essential link for foreign trade from the Brazilian southwest and its projection towards the Pacific.

The general manager of the Empresa Portuaria Arica (EPA), Jorge Cáceres, valued the instance, stating that “the community reaffirms the commitment of all actors to a modern, sustainable and collaborative logistics management, which places Arica as a benchmark for integration and efficiency in the South Pacific”.

The session concluded with the election of the Board, which was made up of Leonardo Fuentes (D&C Group); Daniel Navarro (Ultramar); Jorge Cáceres (EPA); Álvaro Cabrera (Medlog); Marcelo Riquelme (INACAP) and Gerald Kong (Ultraport).
