At the end of August, the Baltic Hub in Gdansk received the first container ship as part of the new Poland Shuttle (PLS) service, operated by the shipping line Ocean Network Express (ONE). The new service strengthens Gdansk’s role as a strategic maritime hub in the region and expands its network of connections to key European ports.
The PLS route connects Hamburg, Rotterdam, Gdynia, and Gdansk, providing weekly calls for feeder vessels with a capacity of approximately 1,100 TEU. Regular services create additional opportunities for ONE clients and companies in Central and Eastern Europe, increasing the resilience and predictability of supply chains.
Baltic Hub notes that the launch of the PLS will be an important addition to the terminal’s existing services, providing customers with greater flexibility and accessibility to logistics solutions. The new route strengthens the position of Polish ports in the European maritime transport system and opens up prospects for further growth in cargo flows.
