Barbados expects 390 cruise calls carrying a projected 739,557 passengers in the /23 winter season.
This puts the island back into pre-pandemic 2019’s cruise visitor numbers.
New and returning ships
An anticipated new caller is The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s Evrima, which is scheduled to sail from Bridgetown, among a host ofreturning ships including MSC Seaside, Seabourn Ovation and Rhapsody of the Seas.

One of the newly amplified attractions is Harrison’s Cave Eco-Adventure, operated by Chukka Caribbean Adventures, including the Mount Gay Rum Experience, Monkey Zipline and the Gully Challenge Course.
Crop Over returns
As Barbados returns to form, the island this summer hosted its first Crop Over Festival in two years. One of the Caribbean’s most culturally significant festivals, the 300-year-old Crop Over tradition celebrates the end of the sugar cane growing season.
The festival beganin May and just culminated the first Monday in August with Grand Kadooment drawingcostumed revelers parading in the streets.
