On August 26, under the escort of the Zhanjiang maritime authorities, the vessel “Heng Hui 69” safely berthed at the liquid bulk terminal of the BASF Zhanjiang Integrated Verbund Site. This event marked the arrival of the first foreign trade ship at the terminal after its official approval for opening to the outside world, providing strong support for taking the construction of the Zhanjiang Port Petrochemical Park to a new level.

It is understood that the BASF Zhanjiang Integrated Verbund Site project is BASF’s largest single investment to date, with a total investment of approximately 10 billion euros, and is independently constructed and operated by BASF. Upon completion, the site will become BASF’s third-largest production base worldwide, after the Ludwigshafen site in Germany and the Antwerp site in Belgium. The liquid bulk terminal of this project was officially approved for opening to the outside world on June 30, 2025, and currently meets the conditions for berthing international vessels and conducting import and export operations. The terminal project is designed to build four new berths, including one 120,000-tonnage oil and chemical berth, two 80,000-tonnage liquefied hydrocarbon berths, and one 50,000-tonnage oil and chemical berth.

On the day the vessel entered the port, the maritime authorities further refined their support measures. They dispatched patrol ships to provide escort and警戒,疏导船流、排查碍航物，驱赶航道内碍航渔船5艘次，确保航道清爽；充分利用智慧海事、AIS、CCTV等信息化手段，对外贸船舶进港全程实施可视化监管与动态护航，实时掌控航行秩序，保障船舶航行安全可控。同时，海事部门启动口岸联动监管机制，为“恒晖69”轮进港开辟申报“绿色通道”，简化进出口岸审批流程，高效办理查验手续，实现外贸船舶“零障碍”无缝停靠，推动港口整体运转效率与企业用户满意度双提升。
