Bawat containerised BWMS sold to US customer

Must read

Bawat Water Technologies has announced an order for a mobile ballast water management system (BWMS) for a large seagoing barge in the USA

Bawat reported the customer chose Bawat’s filterless BWMS technology because of its proven ability to treat ballast water with just one pass and its chemical-free procedure.

The mobile BWMS solution is to be mounted in a 40-ft container with a capacity of 300 m3/hour.

“This order once again demonstrates our BWMS caters for a wide range of vessel types and operations. In this case, we are proud of the customer’s stamp of approval, knowing we have created a solution that will technically strengthen the customer confidence in its ballast water treatment operations,” said Bawat chief executive Marcus Hummer.

The order value is between Skr6-8M (US$0.5-0.7M) and will contribute to Bawat’s full-year guidance of orders of Skr35-50M.

In early 2022, Bawat Water Technologies AB (Bawat) listed the company’s shares on the Nasdaq First North Premier Growth Market in Stockholm as part of the global commercialisation of Bawat’s patented heat-based solution for the treatment of ballast water.

This followed a US-based joint venture with BWMS reception specialist Monstrant Viam to exploit opportunities in the Gulf of Mexico for offering ballast-water-treatment-as-a-service to marine vessels.

Riviera Maritime Media has a comprehensive conference programme for the rest of 2022 and will provide free technical and operational webinars in 2023.
