Among the public sector ports numbering 12 in the country, the Kandla port (Deendayal Port) has emerged as the leader.

Deendayal Port has handled more than 127 MMT of cargo during FY 2021-22, thereby registering the highest cargo throughput in its history. It is also the first and the only Major port to handle more than 127 MMT in a financial year.
