Bilbao PortLab, the innovation hub of the Port of Bilbao, was the setting for the final demonstration day of two projects funded in the second call of the Ports 4.0 Fund, financed by Puertos del Estado, in its Commercial modality. The initiatives, developed by Navozyme Maritime Technologies and CLCircular, have showcased their technological advancements applied to the port sector, reinforcing the commitment to digitalization, sustainability, and efficiency of processes in the logistics community.

Navozyme has presented NSwap, a solution that digitizes the MARPOL service and allows for secure real-time data exchange between service providers, crew, consignee agents, and Port Authorities. The platform, developed within the framework of the Port Clearance Pilot (PCP) innovation project, incorporates Blockchain Enabled Electronic Certificates technology, which adds an additional layer of security and trust to administrative processes. Alongside NSwap, NMap was also showcased, a tool that optimizes information exchange in pre-arrival and ship clearance declaration processes, including a specific module for Dangerous Goods.

The project has had the collaboration of TRADEBE & Alfaship Shipping Agency and the support of Puertos del Estado and the Port Authorities and Maritime Captaincies of Barcelona, Bilbao, and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, which has allowed for the validation of these solutions in real operating environments.

For its part, CLCircular, whose project has concluded successfully, achieving all set objectives, has presented its most relevant milestones, such as the redesign of its cloud platform, the launch of a new generation of IoT sensors, and the technical validations carried out on batteries and sensors.
