A ship from Swiss-Italian carrier MSC had to turn back after receiving a bomb threat upon entering major Belgian Port of Antwerp.
Around midnight this Thursday, container vessel MSC Lorena had the port in sight when a person called and said that a bomb was on board the ship.
According to the person, the bomb would go off if the ship berthed in the Belgian port, reports media HLN.
On Thursday afternoon, authorities decided that the 275-meter-long ship should turn back and sail down the Scheldt River to Dutch port Vlissingen as a precautionary measure.
Police tells HLN that the incident is now being investigated.
