Brazilian fruit exports mark 30.2% increase during third quarter

Must read

Brazil’s fruit exports marked, despite the challenging international scenario, a growth of 30.2%, according to statistics from the Brazilian Association of Producers and Exporters of Fruits and Derivatives (Abrafrutas), based on Comex Stat.

The products sent to international markets, on the other hand, increased by 16.3?% in value compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching USD 323.6 million and the 290,600 tons dispatched this quarter. This translates to USD 909.8 million and 836,900 tons dispatched so far this year.

The result demonstrates the solidity of the collaboration between producers, exporters, and representative institutions. Even in the face of recent challenges, such as the announcement of the so-called US “tariff increase,” which generated concern at the beginning of the semester, the sector responded with maturity and determination.

“At first, we had to reflect on alternatives and evaluate the impacts, but we never stopped producing as planned. The sector continued negotiating, working, and demonstrating its strength. The figures achieved are a direct reflection of this collective effort, which unites producers, exporters, and institutions around a common purpose: to show the world the strength and excellence of Brazilian fruit growing,” stated the president of Abrafrutas, Guilherme Coelho.

Guilherme Coelho further states that, beyond producing, Brazilian producers know how to negotiate, position themselves, and seek new markets. The work goes far beyond the farm gate; it involves planning, training, partnerships, and an increasingly global vision.

This positive performance also reflects the intense calendar of international fairs that promote Brazilian fruit. In 2025, the country participated in strategic events such as Fruit Logistica in Germany, Fruit Attraction in São Paulo and Madrid, and Asia Fruit Logistica in Hong Kong, which reinforced Brazil’s image as a reliable and sustainable supplier.

According to the ESG director of Abrafrutas, Priscila Nasrallah, Brazil has also consistently advanced in the adoption of socio-environmental and quality certifications, which raise the standard of national production, increase confidence in international markets, and consolidate the sector’s commitment to ESG criteria.

“We have worked continuously to strengthen Brazil’s image abroad, diversify markets, and open new opportunities for our producers. Abrafrutas will soon present an important novelty that will further boost Brazil’s business and visibility in the international fruit trade,” stated Priscila Nasrallah.
