Brunei digitalises ship pilotage in key commercial port

Must read

Darussalam Pilotage Services (DPS), Brunei’s main provider of pilotage and towage services, has turned to Innovez One to digitalise port and offshore base services

Innovez One will provide its flagship software MarineM to DPS to optimise services in the port of Muara, the most important commercial maritime hub and offshore supply base in Brunei. This will streamline and optimise services for vessels arriving and departing the port, including offshore support vessels, from registration to billing.

MarineM’s digital platform will replace paper-based processes to capture job requests, track the progress of each job in real time, and generate invoices automatically.

Agents will be able to use an online portal to register port calls, order services from mobile devices and eliminate time-consuming manual workflows. This will support transparency, reduce errors, and help eliminate billing issues, delays and disputes.

Innovez One’s artificial intelligence-powered platform will also be used to automate and optimise port, tug and pilotage scheduling.

Key operations including vessel allocation and job planning and tracking will be managed through a flexible digital platform, rather than manual processes such as whiteboards, paper and spreadsheets.

This digital transition will boost fleet efficiency, giving DPS greater scope to optimise vessel and berth allocation, while helping to curb fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

The 26th International Tug & Salvage Convention, Exhibition & Awards will be held 28 September 2022.Register your interest and access more information here
