Bruton Limited announced that a letter of intent was agreed between New Times Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. (NTS) and Andes Tankers III Ltd. for the latter to order two new VLCC vessels equipped with scrubbers.
Furthermore, in the contract the company has options to add two additional VLCC vessels at the same price, subject to Andes Tankers III declaring the option before December 31, 2025.
The vessels are a repeat order of a previous one that the company placed with NTS and have the option to be converted into dual-fuel LNG-ready ships.
The ships are scheduled to be delivered between the fourth quarter of 2028 and the second quarter of 2029, while the optional units, if taken up, would be received between the third and fourth quarter of 2029.
