Cargill has expanded its partnership with Veson Nautical to support the continued digital transformation of its maritime operations.
The agreement will provide Cargill’s Ocean Transportation business with broader access to Veson’s portfolio, including its data intelligence capabilities and the AI-driven Shipfix workflow system.
“With a shared desire for digital transformation, open collaboration between our teams, and complementary strengths, skills, and focus points, Veson is the perfect partner to expand our relationship with,” said Eric Aboussouan, Strategy and Digitalisation Lead for Cargill Ocean Transportation.
“They have set the standard for digital transformation in the shipping industry, with their IMOS platform being the leading solution in the market. This partnership allows us to integrate our systems more seamlessly, providing customers a unified platform that enhances visibility, efficiency, and control over their freight procurement processes.”
In particular, Cargill’s digital transformation will include prioritisation and focus on the transition towards the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the sector, building strong external partnerships with technology providers, as well as ensuring that risk is adequately managed in times of market uncertainty.
The company has already begun implementing these changes internally, onboarding more than 100 users from its agricultural and metals trading divisions onto Veson’s IMOS X platform as a foundation for wider industry engagement.
