Carnival Cruise Line returns to Dover with Carnival Pride

For the first time in nearly a decade, Carnival Cruise Line set sail Friday from Dover, England on Carnival Pride’s inaugural departure from the port.

This nine-day cruise to the Norwegian Fjords will call at Stavanger, Skjolden, Ã…lesund, Molde and Bergen, with scenic cruising through Nordfjord and Sognefjord.

Eight more cruises

Carnival Pride is scheduled for eight more departures from Dover this summer. A variety of nine- and 12-day itineraries are offered.

Carnival last embarked from Dover in 2013.

‘We are immensely proud to be welcoming Carnival Cruise Line back to Dover and honored to be part of Carnival’s 50th birthday celebration with the kickoff of nine fantastic turnaround calls starting today,’ said Sonia Limbrick, head of cruise, Port of Dover.

Festivities

To celebrate, the port hosted performances by top UK brass quintet Premium Brass and pianist and singer Nick Bosworth. Tugs gave Carnival Pride a water cannon salute.
