Carnival Cruise Line taps Hilton's Amy Martin Ziegenfuss as CMO
Carnival Cruise Line appointed hotels veteran Amy Martin Ziegenfuss as chief marketing officer.

Martin Ziegenfuss most recently was SVP global enterprise & brand marketing for Hilton Worldwide. During seven years there, she focused on launching several new hotel brands and repositioning legacy brands like Hampton, introducing modern marketing tools and developing Hilton’s first umbrella brand platform: ‘Hilton. For the Stay.’

‘Her leadership in creating brand love that deepens long-term customer loyalty and experience in the travel and hospitality industry will add significant value to our talented marketing team,’ Carnival President Christine Duffy said.

She will report to Chief Commercial Officer Ken Tateand succeeds Pete Callaro, who left in February 2022.

Choice Hotels

Before Hilton, Martin Ziegenfuss spent 11 years at Choice Hotels in a variety of marketing roles in the US and UK following positions at several organizations in the financial, healthcare and nonprofit sectors.

‘I have long admired Carnival’s strong “Choose Fun” brand and am looking forward to joining the company’s world-class team,’ Martin Ziegenfuss said.

‘Choose Fun Together’

This year, Carnival launched its ‘Choose Fun Together’ campaign across all advertising platforms. From Times Square’s massive billboards to social media posts on TikTok and Instagram and commercial spots on broadcast and streaming television, the campaign highlights those special moments of fun when people come together on a Carnival cruise.
