Chaucer’s global head of marine Philip Graham, who also chairs the facts and figures committee of the International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI), is reported by Insurance
Insider to have resigned from the business after more than 20 years with the underwriter.
After an enquiry from IMN, Chaucer failed to confirm or deny the report, and neither did Mr Graham respond to an emailed enquiry.
Graham joined Chaucer, a China Re company, in April 2000 as a Senior Hull and Liability Underwriter before being appointed Head of Marine in 2017, with global responsibility for the Hull, Cargo, Liability, Specie, Freight Forwarders, Ports, PI and War accounts.
With more than 30 years’ marine underwriting experience in the Lloyd’s and international company markets, Philip Graham is one of the most respected people in the marine underwriting market. He is Chair of the Lloyd’s Statistics Committee and Chair of the Facts and Figures committee of IUMI, and is a regular speaker at global marine forums.
