Chile: First cherries of the 2025-2026 season exported

Must read

Garces Fruit carried out the first export of Chilean cherries corresponding to the 2025-2026 season, which were harvested in the Coquimbo Region and processed in the company’s Mostazal plant. The fruit will be transported to China by plane.

“Our fruit arrived last night (Thursday, October 16th) at the Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Santiago, where they passed the security control much more efficiently than in previous years, thanks to the security certification granted by the Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil in December 2024,” the company reported.

“After that and other procedures, they were shipped early this morning to begin their air journey to Pudong Airport in Shanghai, where they will be awaited by representatives of our team in that country. This milestone reflects the effort of every producer, worker, and team involved in the production chain,” it added.

Regarding the start of the 2025 Cherry Express service, it is expected to begin in the final days of November. At the Port of San Antonio, it will begin with the departure of the CMA CGM Legacy on November 28th.
