On June 19, the 7,000 CEU dual-fuel PCTC AICC KUNPENG,the second ocean-going vehicle carrier invested and built by Anhui Hangrui International Car Carriers Limited (AICC Shipping),was officially named and delivered in Shanghai and commenced its maiden voyage on the China–Northwest Europe route.
As the sister ship of AICC HUANGHU, this vessel marks another key achievement for Anhui Province in developing long-haul ro-ro capacity to serve China’s booming auto exports.
KUNPENG is 199.9 meters long and 38 meters wide, with 12 decks (4 liftable), and meets IMO Tier III NOx emission standards with dual-fuel (LNG + fuel oil) propulsion. It carries up to 7,000 vehicles including NEVs, trucks, construction machinery, and passenger cars. On its maiden voyage, the vessel loaded 5,056 vehicles from leading brands such as Chery, JAC, Jetour, BAIC, and King Long, heading from Shanghai to Bremerhaven, via Dalian, Xiamen, Egypt, Spain, and the UK.
The deployment of AICC KUNPENG further strengthens AICC’s owned fleet and expands its global ro-ro service network, which already covers Mexico, the Mediterranean, the Persian Gulf, and now Northwest Europe. Since inception, AICC has shipped over 120,000 units of finished vehicles, with a focus on providing fast, green, and integrated logistics solutions for Chinese automakers.
