CMA CGM has inaugurated its new Scandinavia West Coast Express (SWX) service at the Port of Gdańsk with the arrival of the Dutch-flagged vessel Enforcer. The 134.65-meter ship, built in 2003 and offering a capacity of 750 TEU, made the first call as part of the new route.

The SWX service connects Poland with Denmark, Sweden, and Lithuania on the rotation Gothenburg – Aarhus – Klaipėda – Gdańsk – Gothenburg. Vessels will call weekly at Gdańsk’s Baltic Hub terminal, with arrivals scheduled every Sunday. The transit time from Gdańsk to Gothenburg is just four days.

According to CMA CGM, the service is designed to provide an alternative to road transport while strengthening connections with short sea services in Gdańsk and Klaipėda, as well as with the group’s Far East routes.

The Port of Gdańsk currently handles four direct Asia services operated by leading global carriers. CMA CGM maintains its expanded FAL1 service, operated by 400-meter megamax vessels, linking Asia with Europe via Gdańsk. Additionally, Ocean Alliance partners CMA CGM, Evergreen, COSCO Shipping, and OOCL jointly operate the /AEU1 services, while MSC runs two independent weekly services connecting Gdańsk with ports in China, South Korea, and Vietnam.
